How do I add a widget?
Click the Widgets On Top icon in your menu bar and pick a widget from the grid. It appears on screen right away, in a free spot. Drag it anywhere, and drag its edges or corners to resize.
How do I hide all my widgets at once?
Press ⌃⌥⌘W (Control-Option-Command-W) anywhere on your Mac, or click the eye button in the menu bar panel. The same shortcut brings everything back, exactly as it was.
How do I remove a widget?
Hover over the widget and click the ✕ button in the controls beside it. To remove everything at once, use Clear Widgets in the menu bar panel and confirm.
My widgets cover an app I need. Can I stop that?
Yes. Open Settings from the menu bar panel and add that app under “Apps that cover widgets.” Whenever it’s the active app, your widgets drop behind its windows automatically — handy for presentations, video calls and games.
Do timers and stopwatches keep running when widgets are hidden?
They do. A timer will chime when it finishes even if its widget is hidden, and a stopwatch keeps counting. Timers also survive quitting the app — if one was still running, it picks up where it should be when you launch again.
Can I see the tour again?
Yes — click the ? button next to the app name at the top of the menu bar panel. The welcome tour opens any time you want a refresher on what each widget does.
How do I format text in a Notes widget?
Use ⌘B, ⌘I and ⌘U for bold, italic and underline, and ⌘+ / ⌘− to change text size (⌘0 resets it). Hovering the widget also reveals a small formatting toolbar.
Can I change a widget’s color?
Hover the widget and click the palette button beside it, then pick one of six tints — including Midnight, which renders the whole widget in dark mode regardless of your system appearance.
I don’t like the translucent glass look. Can I turn it off?
Yes. Open Settings and switch off “Glass widget backgrounds” for solid, opaque widget cards.
Do my widgets sync between Macs?
Not at the moment. Everything is stored locally on each Mac, which is what keeps the app completely private. If syncing is something you’d use, tell us — it helps us prioritise.
Where are exchange rates from, and are they live?
They come from the European Central Bank’s daily reference rates, via the free frankfurter.dev service. They update once per business day rather than by the second, so they’re ideal for invoices and travel budgets, not for trading.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. On macOS 26 (Tahoe) widgets also get the Liquid Glass appearance.
Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?
Everything lives in the app’s sandboxed container on your Mac. Deleting the app removes all of it. See the privacy policy for the details.
How do refunds work?
Purchases go through the Mac App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something isn’t working, though, please write to us first — we’d rather fix it.
